The European Parliament plenary has adopted in 2nd reading the compromise package on REACH, as it was negotiated on 30 November with Council and Commission by 529 votes in favor and 98 votes against, as expected all other amendments did not reach the qualified majority.It is expected that the Council will accept this 2nd reading result next week (18th of December) and that REACH will be finally adopted by Christmas (before 2007).
