Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry, Polish Plastics Convertors Association and PlasticsEurope organize on 15-16 May 2006 at Novotel Centrum Hotel in Warsaw conference.
PIPC
Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry (PIPC) is the organization representing chemical companies towards domestic and foreign governemnt and non-governemnt organizations.PIPC is the only Polish organization being a member of CEFIC and is authorized to represent chemical industry on international forum.

According to its Statute the Chamber is authoized to present its opinions on all regulations as regards functoning of chemical industry in Poland.
The Chamber receives projects of such regulations from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment, Committee for the European Integration and others.
Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry has been established in 1988 as voluntary, nonprofit association of chemical companies in Poland.
Chamber associated numerous major manufacturing and trade companies, scientific-research institutes and others, as well as branch associations.
Employer’s Organization of Chemical Industry in Poland was a second organization dealing with the problems of chemical industry and it has been established in 1994.
Activity of this Organizaction has been focused on supporting of economic iniciatives and regulations aiming wide development of chemical industry in Poland and in Europe.
Activity of both organizations, especially in the area of chemical industry integration, representaing of chemical branch towards administrative authorities as regards employment issues, safety at work, environment, transport and legislative solutions as well as dynamic process of negotiation of the accession of Poland to the European Union, bring us to combine our efforts and to create uniform representation of chemical industry in Poland.
As a result on 17 of January 2001
Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry - Employers’ Organization, has been established and it took over all rights and duties of both organizations.
Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry from many years cooperates with CEFIC.
According to the deccission of CEFIC General Assembly, Chamber has been accepted as an associate member and in 2001 as an ordinary member of CEFIC.
In 2004 companies associated in PIPC-ZP decided ti change the name of the organization to Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry.
Main tasks of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry are:
- activities aiming better competitiveness o chemial industry in Poland
- consolidation of chemical industry and further integration of chemical companies to have an influence on the Governmentl economic policy special regard to customs, tax and energy policy;
- sustainable development of chemical branch and environment with special regard of "Responsible Care" implementation in chemical industry;
- co-ordination and initiation of works of commissions and working groups in the area of process and work safety, logistics, customs, chemical and biological weapon;
- elaboration of collective agreements for chemical industry, giving opinions to labor law, contracts, working hours, etc;
- cooperation with government administration and legislative authorities, opinions to the projects of legal acts, decrees of the Council of Ministers and ministers, international conventions connected with industry and cooperation with committees of the Parliament and Senate;
- cooperation with non-governmental organizations;
- cooperation with international organizations (CEFIC, TAIEX, EUROCHLOR, ICASE) branch organizations (EFAM, IFA)) and government institutions from other countries.
- lobbying for chemical industry,
- integrating of the Polish chemical industry within the economically united Europe,
- aiming to have own representatives in the EU and nongovernment organizations,
- participation in creation of solutions connected with adaptation of the Polish law to the EU requirements, important for the Polish chemical sector - especially as regards BAT.
- representing of the interest of PIPC members towarda regional, domestic and international institutions,
- creation of the system of quick information e.g. on current situation of chemical industry, state of legislation works as regards adaptation of the Polish law to the EU Directives, long-term EU plans, CEFIC elaborations, etc,
- training, seminars, panel discussions, etc.
